TOKYO Aug 6, 2026 — ONE Championship has officially booked a high-stakes Atomweight Muay Thai World Title fight for its October card in Japan, pitting reigning champion Nadaka Yoshinari against surging Malaysian contender Rifdean “Magic Boy” Masdor.
The bout headlines part of ONE Samurai 4, set for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. It marks Nadaka’s second defense of the belt he won as the division’s inaugural champion.
Nadaka, a 25-year-old technical standout from Japan’s Eiwa Sports Gym, enters the matchup on a remarkable 41-fight winning streak. He captured the title with a dominant performance over Numsurin Chor Ketwina at ONE 173 and successfully defended it against Songchainoi Kiatsongrit via unanimous decision at ONE Samurai 1 in April. Known for his speed, precision, and defensive skills, the Japanese star will once again compete on home soil.
Challenging him is 23-year-old Rifdean Masdor, who has rapidly risen through ONE’s ranks. The Malaysian fighter holds a 7-1 promotional record, including five consecutive victories and a 71% finish rate. His most recent win — a first-round knockout of Javad Mozafari in June that earned him a US$100,000 contract and a permanent spot on the global roster — immediately led to a bold callout of the champion.
A victory for Masdor would make him only the second Malaysian to claim ONE world championship gold, following interim strawweight Muay Thai titleholder Aliff Sor Dechapan.
ONE Championship promoted the matchup as “the ultimate test,” highlighting Masdor’s chance to make history on Nadaka’s home turf.
