MELAKA, November 5, 2026 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim told young people at a Jelajah Aspirasi MADANI stop in Taman Bukit Rambai that investor confidence and political stability must be translated into the people’s wellbeing, not left as headline figures alone.
In a post shared on X on Thursday afternoon, Anwar said he was with residents in Taman Bukit Rambai for the Jelajah Aspirasi MADANI programme for the Kelebang state seat, focusing especially on young people who will inherit the country’s future.
“I stressed that the strength of the national economy, investor confidence and political stability must be translated into the people’s wellbeing,” he wrote. Citing figures in his own remarks, he said large investments such as RM61 billion by Google and RM1.5 billion by Daiso opened room for economic growth, jobs and skills upgrading for young people, particularly in technology and TVET. “However, this progress means nothing if questions of the cost of living, education, health and basic amenities for the people continue to be sidelined,” he said.
Anwar said the Madani government would continue efforts to help the people through STR, SARA, targeted fuel subsidies and increased allocations for schools and hospitals. He said all of that required prudent financial management, transparent governance and the courage to fight corruption and abuse that had long harmed the country.
Warning on religious abuse in politics
He also reminded supporters that political differences should not justify insults, slander or the misuse of religious arguments to attack those who disagree. “Islam elevates noble character, honesty and trust, not hatred and enmity,” he wrote. Leadership, he said, was not a field to amass wealth or cling to position, but a means to defend the people, uphold justice and secure a more dignified future for the country.
The stop forms part of Pakatan Harapan’s Melaka campaign ahead of polling on November 14. Harapan is fielding Farzana Hayani Mohd Nasir of PKR in Kelebang (N.14). Early voting is on November 10, according to the Election Commission (SPR).
