KELANTAN, April 18 (Life News Agency) — Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim today chaired the Pasir Puteh District Development Meeting in Kelantan to assess the progress of projects under the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK-13).
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Anwar expressed gratitude and stressed that development plans must move beyond paperwork into real, decisive, efficient and effective action for the benefit of the rakyat.
“Every planning must not just remain on paper, but must be realised through decisive, efficient and effective actions for the benefit of the people,” he said.
The meeting focused on urgent issues affecting local residents, including measures to reduce flood risks through improvements to drainage systems, irrigation and river embankments.
Security concerns were also prioritised, with proposals for installing solar-powered street lights and CCTV cameras. Discussions further covered infrastructure upgrades, strengthening the socio-economic framework and expanding welfare networks in the district.
Anwar proposed the formulation of a comprehensive and integrated action plan involving local authorities, the state government and the federal government, with particular emphasis on health, education and food security.
He ended his message with a prayer: “Moga segala ikhtiar ini dipermudah dan diberkati, seterusnya mampu mengangkat taraf hidup serta memperkasa kesejahteraan rakyat Kelantan secara menyeluruh, Insya-Allah.”
The session was held at the Pejabat Tanah dan Jajahan Pasir Puteh. Accompanying photos from the event show Anwar leading the meeting with senior officials, signing a document, receiving a memento and posing for a group photograph with district officers.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by several top officials during the visit.
