Netflix has dropped the first official look at Season 3 of its global hit series Wednesday, and it confirms what fans have been speculating: Wednesday Addams is leaving Nevermore Academy for an international adventure.
The image, shared widely on social media including by The Hollywood Reporter (@THR), shows Jenna Ortega reprising her breakout role as the deadpan Wednesday Addams. She stands beside a motorcycle in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, holding a note with her signature blank stare. Perched on the bike is Thing (played by Victor Dorobantu), the sentient disembodied hand and loyal Addams family companion.

Netflix captioned the photo: “From Paris, with dread.”
The Hollywood Reporter’s accompanying video teases the new season with a montage of clips, including Wednesday in her classic black coat and braids exploring Parisian streets, as well as glimpses of returning and new cast members. It explicitly highlights that Wednesday appears to be taking a “international vacation” from the gothic boarding school in Jericho, Vermont.
Production on Season 3 is currently underway near Dublin, Ireland, with recent filming in Paris. The series, created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and executive produced by Tim Burton, picks up after the events of Season 2. Ortega leads the cast alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Hunter Doohan, and others.
New cast members joining the macabre family include Eva Green as Aunt Ophelia, Winona Ryder, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, and more.
No release date has been announced yet, but excitement is already building for the next chapter in Wednesday’s darkly comedic world of mystery, monsters, and family dysfunction.
The original Wednesday became Netflix’s most-watched English-language series ever following its 2022 debut, with Season 2 dropping in 2025.
