3rd June 2025 – – Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its full readiness to ensure a safe and peaceful Hajj season in 2024, as authorities intensify efforts across all sectors involved in managing the pilgrimage. As part of these preparations, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, officiated the Ministry of Interior’s annual ceremony honoring the security forces assigned to Hajj operations.
The event featured a military parade and tactical demonstrations by various security agencies, including simulated emergency scenarios, aerial surveillance units, specialized response vehicles, and advanced equipment intended to ensure safety throughout the pilgrimage period.

During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, emphasized that Saudi leadership has prioritized the safety and service of pilgrims by mobilizing all available resources and capabilities.
He added that the comprehensive planning and coordination among multiple agencies have already led to significant improvements in crowd control and inter-agency collaboration. These measures are aimed at ensuring that pilgrims from around the world can perform their religious rites in Makkah and Madinah with the highest levels of security, order, and peace of mind.
