KUALA LUMPUR, June 11, 2025 – Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail lauded the unwavering dedication and resilience of the General Operations Force (PGA) in safeguarding Malaysia’s security, particularly in remote border areas, dense jungles, and high-risk zones often unseen by the public.

In a statement today, the minister emphasized that the PGA is more than a support unit, describing them as the nation’s frontline defense in border control, riot prevention, humanitarian missions, and maintaining public order in challenging environments.
“With over 12,000 personnel and the establishment of three new battalions in Keningau, Kunak, and Sri Aman, the PGA stands tall as a steadfast protector of our homeland,” he said.
Saifuddin expressed profound gratitude to all PGA officers and personnel nationwide, acknowledging their sacrifices in serving far from family under arduous conditions. “Your sacrifices embody the true spirit of peacekeepers,” he added.
He affirmed the PGA’s enduring resolve, stating, “As long as threats persist, the PGA will remain steadfast on the frontlines.”
