KUALA LUMPUR, June 17, 2026 — Parti Bersama Malaysia (BERSAMA), co-led by former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, has reported strong early support for its people-funded #WeFund BERSAMA initiative, raising RM79,700 just five days after launch to finance campaign activities ahead of the Johor state elections (PRN Johor).
In a video update posted on X, Rafizi announced that 296 out of 998 tickets have been sold for the fundraising dinner event, representing about 30% of available tickets. The average ticket price stands at RM269, with stronger sales in higher tiers (RM500, RM1,000, and RM2,000) alongside the standard RM150 tickets.
“The funds will be used to finance BERSAMA’s campaign in PRN Johor, primarily for renting a campaign truck and producing materials such as flags, posters, and small flags,” Rafizi said. He added that the campaign truck has already been secured and will make its debut in Johor next week.
The #WeFund BERSAMA fundraising dinner is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, at 8 PM at SJKC Wangsa Maju. Tickets remain available for purchase online via the BERSAMA website (bersama.org), where buyers can select ticket categories, quantities, and table numbers.
Rafizi framed the initiative as a push for greater political accountability, contrasting it with traditional parties that rely on opaque funding sources. “This is something other politicians and parties do not want to do — depending on contributions from the people — because they do not want to answer to the rakyat once they win,” he stated. He urged supporters who cannot attend to share the campaign widely on social media and WhatsApp.
BERSAMA, relaunched earlier this year as a “third force” alternative in Malaysian politics, has positioned itself as a people-powered movement. The party has actively opened candidate applications for PRN Johor and Negeri Sembilan, emphasizing transparency in its funding model.
Early feedback on social media has been positive, with some users praising the crowdfunding approach for promoting transparency and calling for detailed public reporting of expenditures.
The campaign comes amid BERSAMA’s efforts to build momentum following its formal unveiling, with over 27,000 Malaysians reportedly contributing through various channels since the party’s relaunch.
