KUALA LUMPUR April 15, 2026 — The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has announced a downward adjustment in retail petroleum prices for the period of April 16 to 22, 2026, in response to falling global oil market prices.
The reduction applies to several fuel types in Peninsular Malaysia, while key subsidised prices under government initiatives remain unchanged to protect consumers.
According to the official statement from MOF:
- RON97 petrol price decreases by 25 sen to RM5.10 per litre.
- RON95 (without subsidy) drops by 25 sen to RM4.02 per litre.
- RON95 BUDI MADANI (subsidised under BUDI95) remains at RM1.99 per litre.
- Subsidised petrol (SKPS) stays at RM2.05 per litre.
- Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia is reduced by 75 sen to RM5.97 per litre.
- Subsidised diesel (SKDS) remains at RM2.15 per litre.
- Diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan stays unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
