Seri Manjung, June 1, 2025 – The Karnival Kita MADANI x Program MADANI Rakyat Perak, held at Arena Square, Taman Samudera, Seri Manjung, delivered a vibrant platform for direct access to government information and services, engaging the local community through a hands-on approach.
Organized by the Perak State Information Department, the event aimed to deepen public understanding of government policies and initiatives by bringing services straight to the people. The carnival was officially launched at 11:00 AM by Mr. Nik Kamaruzaman bin Nik Husin, Deputy Secretary-General (Strategic Communication and Creative Industry) of the Ministry of Communications.
The event also served as a promotional lead-up to the state-level Program MADANI Rakyat (PMR), scheduled for June 13–15, 2025, in Manjung District, which is expected to be officiated by the Right Honourable Prime Minister.
Highlights of the carnival included Rahmah and Agro MADANI sales, exhibitions, and services from various government agencies, free health and dental check-ups, coloring contests, traditional sports, a community feast, and a captivating silat performance by practitioners from 10 martial arts schools.
A total of 21 government and private agencies participated, including the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Social Security Organisation (PERKESO), National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK), and Perak FM Radio, among others.
Mobile services were also provided by agencies such as the Manjung District Office, Manjung Municipal Council, and IM@JAPEN, streamlining transactions for the local community.
The carnival kicked off on the evening of May 31, 2025, with a well-received Bestari Screen Showcase at the same venue, starting at 8:45 PM.
Among the notable attendees were Ms. Rubaayah binti Osman, Deputy Director-General (Strategic Communication) of the Malaysia Information Department, representatives from federal and state government agencies, and local community leaders.
