KUALA LUMPUR Aug 22, 2026- Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Hannah Yeoh, has chaired the Federal Territories Ministers Meeting together with Members of Parliament for Kuala Lumpur as well as the top management of the Federal Territories Department (JWP) and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
During the meeting, various policies, initiatives and current developments were presented. Among them:
- Sports Facilities Dashboard in the Federal Territories
- DBKL Budget Portal and Settlement Proposals
- Status of land use by the Federal Lands Commissioner (PTP) in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur
- Status of the River of Life (ROL) Project Phase 1G
- DBKL’s Half-Year 2026 Achievements
- Status of Lestari Niaga
- DBKL Enforcement Dashboard
- Planning and development of government-owned/reserved land
In a statement on her Facebook page, Hannah Yeoh stressed that forums such as this are important so that Members of Parliament are not only informed about the policies and plans being implemented, but are also given space to put forward views and feedback as elected representatives of the people.
“Therefore, their views need to be taken into account in the decision-making process and the implementation of policies,” she said.
This meeting forms part of the continuous consultation mechanism between the Federal Territories Minister, Kuala Lumpur MPs and the management of JWP and DBKL to ensure more transparent and inclusive governance in the capital city.
