KUALA PILAH July 31 2026 — Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has thrown his support behind Pakatan Harapan’s incumbent candidate for N.18 Dun Pilah, Datuk NoorZunita Begum Mohd Ibrahim, just one day before polling in the Negeri Sembilan state election.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Fahmi urged voters to choose candidate No. 2 and shared photos from a lively motorcycle convoy held in the constituency earlier in the day.
“Jom pilih Calon No.2 NoorZunita Begum Mohd Ibrahim, untuk N.18 Dun Pilah! Hadir berikan sokongan kepada calon Pakatan Harapan NoorZunita Begum di Pilah tadi,” he wrote.
The images show Fahmi, wearing a red “Harapan” vest, posing with groups of supporters clad in matching “Sayang Pilah” T-shirts. In one photo, he sits astride a black BMW sportbike while surrounding supporters raise their fists and wave red flags. Other pictures capture a large gathering of motorcyclists flashing peace signs and a dynamic convoy of bikes flying PH flags along the road.
In a light-hearted postscript, Fahmi clarified that he had only borrowed the high-performance motorcycle (referred to as the “S1K”) for the photo opportunity. “S1K tu saya tumpang posing bergambar sahaja. Terima kasih tuan empunya motor. 😂,” he added.
NoorZunita, the current state assemblywoman for Pilah and a member of the Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council, is defending her seat in a straight fight against Barisan Nasional’s S. Leza Md Yasin. Polling day is set for Saturday, August 1.
Fahmi’s appearance forms part of the final push by Pakatan Harapan leaders to retain the seat in the Kuala Pilah parliamentary area.
