The eight-day mission aims to bolster bilateral relations, explore cooperation in clean energy and water technologies, and expand diplomatic and business networks. The visit underscores Malaysia’s commitment to forging strategic global partnerships to address future energy and water challenges while promoting sustainable and resilient solutions through knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and foreign investment.
During the first four days in Uzbekistan, Fadillah will pay a courtesy call on the President of Uzbekistan to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation in energy and sustainable development. He will also hold meetings with Uzbekistan’s Energy Minister to discuss technical collaboration and investments in renewable energy.
Fadillah is slated to participate in the Malaysia-Uzbekistan Business Forum 2025, organized by the Malaysia-Uzbekistan Business Alliance, to foster economic and investment opportunities, particularly in the energy sector. Following the Uzbekistan leg, Fadillah will continue his mission in Russia from June 25 to 28, 2025. Key agendas include a bilateral meeting with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister to discuss strategic energy cooperation and a technical visit to ROSATOM’s Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant to explore advanced nuclear technology and international safety standards. Discussions with Russia’s Nuclear Regulatory Agency will focus on sharing best practices in nuclear regulation and operations.
Fadillah will also attend a friendly gathering with the Malaysian diaspora in Russia to engage with the community and strengthen ties with Malaysians abroad.
