SHAH ALAM, April 23, 2026 — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil today officiated the handover of 30 units of ICT equipment to the D11 Branch (Sexual Crimes, Women and Children Investigation Division) of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Selangor Contingent Headquarters (IPK Selangor).
The equipment, which includes Lenovo monitors and computers, is intended to bolster the division’s investigative capabilities in tackling increasingly sophisticated digital crimes.
In a statement posted on X, Fahmi stressed the critical role of ongoing collaboration between the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and PDRM.
“Cooperation between MCMC and PDRM is very important in protecting women, children and vulnerable groups, while ensuring the country’s digital space remains safe,” he said.
Fahmi also expressed his highest appreciation to all PDRM personnel for their service, sacrifice and commitment in preserving national security.

The ceremony was held at the auditorium in Menara 1, IPK Selangor, with police officers and officials in attendance. The backdrop of the event read: “Majlis Penyerahan Peralatan ICT kepada Cawangan D11 Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Polis Kontinjen Selangor.”
The initiative aligns with the MADANI government’s commitment to enhancing public safety and securing Malaysia’s digital environment.
