KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 — Tourism Malaysia will showcase Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 from Sept 23 to Oct 4, combining Malaysia’s cultural diversity with the excitement of motorsport as part of the Visit Malaysia 2026-2027 (VM2026-2027) campaign.
The festival, held at IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 and Sama-Sama Hotel, will feature two main components, Colours of Speed and Colours of Art & Culture.
Colours of Speed will offer visitors motorsport-themed showcases and interactive activities, including displays of racing memorabilia, autographed items and iconic supercars.
A simulator competition at IOI City Mall Putrajaya will also give members of the public the opportunity to test their racing skills and compete through qualifying stages for a place in the final and a chance to win prizes.
Colours of Art & Culture, meanwhile, will highlight Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage through music and dance performances, handicrafts and interactive activities showcasing traditions and communities from across the country.
A key highlight will be the Colours of Parade, involving 1,500 dancers and cultural performers representing various regions and communities across Malaysia.
The parade will feature traditional music, dance, colourful costumes and cultural expressions, offering visitors a glimpse of the country’s diverse cultural heritage.
The festival is supported by various strategic partners, including Yes Travel & Holidays Sdn Bhd, IOI Properties, the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN), Istana Budaya, Kraftangan Malaysia, Sama-Sama Hotel, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB), SNS Network, SDeal Malaysia Sim Racing & Motorsport and HP.
Tourism Malaysia said the festival aims to leverage the popularity of motorsport to attract a wider audience while promoting Malaysia’s cultural and tourism offerings.
Malaysia recorded 21.1 million international visitor arrivals from January to June this year, an increase of 2.5 per cent from 20.6 million during the same period last year.
The festival is expected to further stimulate tourism activity and create economic opportunities for local communities, while strengthening Malaysia’s position as a competitive tourism destination under VM2026-2027.
Further details on the Colours of Parade will be announced at a later date.
Information on competition rules, participation requirements, registration, schedules and terms and conditions will be released through the official Citrawarna Speed Festival social media channels.
