RIYADH February 28, 2026 – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today held telephone conversations with the leaders of five brotherly nations, strongly condemning Iranian aggression and pledging unconditional support amid ballistic missile strikes that targeted their territories.
In the calls, HRH the Crown Prince spoke with:
– United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
– Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa
– State of Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani
– State of Kuwait Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah
– Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein
According to an official statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Crown Prince affirmed Saudi Arabia’s “full solidarity” with the affected countries and declared the Kingdom’s “unwavering support and readiness to place all its resources at their disposal to counter these aggressions, which undermine regional security and stability.”
The statement described the Iranian strikes as “blatant” attacks that occurred earlier today.
The developments come hours after Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles across the region in retaliation to joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iranian targets. Multiple reports confirm that UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan — all of which host U.S. military facilities — intercepted incoming missiles. State media in the UAE reported one fatality in Abu Dhabi.
Saudi Arabia has joined other Gulf states in the strongest possible condemnation of the Iranian actions, describing them as flagrant violations of sovereignty and a direct threat to regional peace.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with its neighbours and support any defensive measures they deem necessary.
This latest escalation has sent shockwaves across the Middle East, with flight suspensions reported at several Gulf airports and heightened security alerts in the region.
