KIMANIS, MALAYSIA February 14, 2026 – The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) organized the Jualan MADANI Koperasi dan Usahawan (JMKU) program in the Kimanis parliamentary constituency on February 14, 2026, as part of the MADANI Government’s ongoing efforts to ease the cost of living for the people and strengthen the local entrepreneurship and cooperative ecosystem.
The JMKU program, implemented by the Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM), offered a variety of essential daily goods at discounts of up to 30% below market prices. This initiative provided direct benefits to the local community, particularly in preparing for the upcoming Ramadan month.
The event coincided with the official opening ceremony of the new building at Sekolah Kebangsaan Pekan Kimanis. The new school building was constructed through contributions and efforts led by Datuk Mohamad bin Alamin during his tenure as Deputy Minister of Education, reflecting his commitment to ensuring future generations enjoy comfortable learning environments.
In his speech, Datuk Mohamad bin Alamin, now serving as Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), expressed confidence that the JMKU implementation would deliver a positive impact on the local community, especially by helping to reduce the burden of living costs.
He emphasized that, beyond assisting the public in accessing affordable essentials, the program also serves as a platform for entrepreneurs and cooperatives to expand their markets and enhance business competitiveness.
The program was also joined by KUSKOP agencies, including Bank Rakyat and TEKUN Nasional. Bank Rakyat presented a special contribution of RM30,600 to 204 students from asnaf and B40 groups as support for community welfare initiatives.
TEKUN Nasional set up an exhibition booth to provide information, advisory services, and preliminary eligibility checks for financing to visitors. Interested entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners could obtain further details on TEKUN financing schemes, particularly the Skim BARAKAT—a special financing scheme for Ramadan and Aidilfitri preparations to assist with business capital. Applications for this scheme run from February 1 to March 15, 2026.
KUSKOP remains committed to rolling out various high-impact initiatives to ensure the well-being of the people while continuing to strengthen national entrepreneurship and cooperative development.
