WASHINGTON October 3, 2026 — US President Donald Trump has said Iran will be hit “very hard” if it is found to be behind a co-pilot who attempted to crash a flydubai flight headed for Israel, according to BRICS News.
In a Just In update, BRICS News reported Mr Trump’s warning as the United States continues to examine whether Tehran had any role in the cockpit incident on the Israel-bound passenger flight.
“Iran will be hit ‘very hard’ if it is behind [the] copilot who attempted to crash [the] flydubai flight to Israel,” the BRICS News post summarised of the president’s remarks.
The reported comments follow the thwarted attempt to bring down the aircraft, which was travelling towards Israel when the co-pilot allegedly tried to crash the plane.
Mr Trump’s warning signals a hard line from Washington should investigators establish an Iranian link to the episode. BRICS News did not publish further detail on the evidence behind the president’s assessment.
