KUALA LUMPUR May 22, 2026 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim took time today to personally inspect operations at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), Malaysia’s largest public hospital, while engaging directly with patients and frontline healthcare staff.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister shared that he used the opportunity to tour the facility, greet members of the public receiving treatment, and inquire about their well-being.
Anwar offered prayers for the patients’ speedy recovery, saying: “Doa saya agar mereka diberikan kesembuhan, dipermudah segala urusan dan terus dikurniakan kekuatan.” He also expressed gratitude to the hospital’s healthcare workers for their dedication.
The visit was accompanied by four photographs showing the Prime Minister interacting warmly with patients, including individuals in wheelchairs and waiting areas, underscoring a hands-on approach to understanding public healthcare delivery.
