JOHOR BAHRU, April 24, 2026 — Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim today stressed that Malaysia’s future will only soar and bring bright hope if its youth cultivate a deep love for knowledge, discipline, and unshakable moral character and wisdom.
Wrapping up a brief visit to Johor, Anwar met educators and Form Six students at Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) Kampus Temenggong Ibrahim. He reminded the gathering that in today’s fast-changing world shaped by digital technology, artificial intelligence and rapid global shifts, infrastructure alone is not enough.
“What we must build is talent, human software, morals and humanistic values,” he said.
Anwar drew on the wisdom of renowned Islamic scholar Ismail al-Faruqi, who described the Prophet Muhammad’s Hijrah as more than the birth of a new society — it created a unique Quranic generation (jilul quraniyul farid) anchored in faith (iman), noble values and a passionate pursuit of knowledge.
He noted that government efforts to elevate Form Six as a premier pre-university route and to strengthen IPG institutions demand fresh maturity in the national education system.
Anwar underlined that the Madani vision requires a strong and robust economy balanced by the creation of a knowledgeable, wise and just society — whether in cities, villages, interior regions or estates.
At the same event, the Prime Minister approved an allocation of RM200,000 to IPG Kampus Temenggong Ibrahim to bolster quality teacher education for all.
The visit was part of Anwar’s ongoing commitment to nation-building through education under the #MalaysiaMADANI banner.
