KUALA LUMPUR April 24, 2026 – As part of the 219th Police Day commemoration, the Christian community within the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) organised a special prayer service at St. John’s Cathedral, Bukit Nanas here today.
The event was graced by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan. She was welcomed by Deputy Director (Forensic/Strategic Planning), Criminal Investigation Department Bukit Aman, DCP Datuk Dennis Lim Kwang Keng, who also serves as Chairman of the Organising Committee, together with his wife, Datin Tan Yean Nee, Vice Chairman of the Persatuan Keluarga Polis JSJ Bukit Aman.
Approximately 600 serving police personnel and retirees attended the solemn and orderly annual programme, which was led by the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, Most Rev. Julian Leow Beng Kim.
The special prayer sought God’s blessings and protection for all PDRM members, asking for strength, safety, and resilience as they carry out their duty to safeguard national security and peace.
The gathering also aimed to strengthen unity, harmony, and esprit de corps among PDRM’s multi-racial and multi-religious personnel, while nurturing spiritual values and personal well-being among those present.
