KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 2026 – Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming has expressed profound gratitude after more than a quarter-century of service as a Member of Parliament (MP), reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the rakyat and the country.
In a post on X today, the Teluk Intan MP – who has held the mandate as wakil rakyat since 1999 – reflected on his long political journey.
“Bersyukur. Saya telah diberi mandat menjadi wakil rakyat sejak 1999. Jawatan, pangkat dan posisi bersilih ganti, namun yg kekal tidak pernah berubah adalah keazaman dan keikhlasan utk berbakti kepada rakyat & negara,” he wrote.
(Translation: “Grateful. I have been given the mandate to become a people’s representative since 1999. Positions, ranks and titles change, but what remains unchanged forever is the determination and sincerity to serve the people and the nation.”)
Nga, who is also the State Assemblyman for Kepayang, called on Malaysians to continue building a Madani nation together.
“Negara Madani, kita bina bersama!” he added, accompanied by the hashtag #DemokratikAdilPeduli.
The post included two photographs of the minister addressing the Dewan Rakyat, where he is seen gesturing passionately while speaking from the floor of the august house.
Nga Kor Ming, a lawyer by training and a veteran DAP leader, has held various senior positions in both federal and state governments over the decades. He currently serves as Minister of Housing and Local Government in the Unity Government led by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
His latest statement serves as a personal reaffirmation of public service amid ongoing discussions on political longevity and commitment to national development under the Madani framework.
