PUTRAJAYA, June 3, 2026 — The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has issued a strong warning against a viral fake poster claiming that civil servants will receive an early incentive payment of RM2,000 related to the Public Service Remuneration System (Sistem Saraan Perkhidmatan Awam or SSPA) study in June and July 2026.
In an official statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) today, the ministry clarified that the poster is not authentic and was not issued by any authorised government body.
The fake poster, which uses official Malaysia Madani branding, the national coat of arms, and government logos, falsely announces the “Bayaran Insentif Awal Kajian Sistem Saraan Perkhidmatan Awam (SSPA)” as part of the 2026 Budget. It includes details such as payments via e-wallet and a QR code for scanning.
MOF emphasised:
“The Ministry of Finance wishes to stress that the poster circulating regarding the ‘Early Incentive Payment for the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) Study’ is FALSE and was not issued by any authorised authority.”
The ministry urged the public not to share unverified information and to rely solely on official communication channels for accurate updates. It ended with the reminder: “If in doubt, don’t share.” (#TidakPastiJanganKongsi)
This incident is the latest in a series of scam attempts targeting Malaysians with promises of government cash aid, e-wallet credits, or incentives. Authorities have repeatedly warned citizens to verify claims through official government websites and verified social media accounts.
