KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18 (Arkian) – Superstar Rajinikanth returns to the big screen in Jailer 2, with Malaysian distributor Malik Streams Corporation Sdn Bhd rolling out major promotional campaigns to mark the film’s release.
The highly anticipated sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures.
Malik Streams Corporation, led by Dato’ Abdul Malik, is the film’s official theatrical distributor in Malaysia. The release also marks the company’s fifth Rajinikanth film distributed in the country.
Jailer 2 is Rajinikanth’s 172nd film, adding another milestone to a career spanning more than five decades.
The film combines action, humour, suspense and cameo appearances, with its soundtrack and background score composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
To promote the release, Malik Streams Corporation introduced several initiatives, including a specially wrapped train campaign described by the company as a landmark for Tamil cinema promotions in Malaysia.
Other activities included a grand trailer launch for local fans, premium cinema screenings in IMAX, 4DX and Dolby Atmos formats at participating cinemas, and a gala screening held on Oct 15, 2026.
The gala brought together media representatives, industry partners, celebrities, influencers and invited guests.
Malik Streams Corporation said the promotional efforts reflected its commitment to expanding the reach of Indian cinema in Malaysia and creating engaging experiences for local audiences.
