JOHOR BAHRU May 17, 2026 – Malaysia’s Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail today visited the Johor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK Johor) to receive a comprehensive briefing on security arrangements ahead of the Johor State Legislative Assembly (DUN Johor) election, expected by mid-2027.
The minister was briefed on various aspects of operational readiness, including coordination between agencies, security control measures, logistics support, and contingency plans to ensure the democratic process proceeds smoothly, peacefully, and in an orderly manner.
During the visit, Saifuddin praised the professionalism and commitment of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), particularly the Johor contingent, in maintaining public order and safety. He expressed appreciation for their ongoing efforts to safeguard peace during the upcoming polls.
The briefing session included detailed presentations on overall security summaries, with police officers and senior officials in attendance. Saifuddin also posed for a group photograph with Johor police leadership and personnel.

This proactive engagement reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring a secure environment for voters as Malaysia prepares for several state elections in 2026–2027. The Home Ministry and PDRM continue to work closely to uphold public confidence in the electoral process under the #MalaysiaMADANI framework.
