SEREMBAN, July 29, 2026 — Malaysia’s Minister of Digital and DAP National Chairman Gobind Singh Deo on Wednesday night addressed a Pakatan Harapan (PH) ceramah in Seremban Jaya, urging voters to retain the coalition’s leadership in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election.
In a series of posts on X, Deo recalled the infrastructure development and improved connectivity achieved by the previous PH state government. He pointed to Negeri Sembilan’s close proximity to Putrajaya as a strategic advantage that allows the state to play a bigger role in driving national progress.
“To sustain this momentum, the people must choose the best leadership to continue guiding the state. With Pakatan Harapan, we are committed to safeguarding the people’s well-being and continuing to move Negeri Sembilan forward,” Deo said.
The rally forms part of PH’s final campaign push under the theme “Kekal HARAPAN” ahead of polling day on August 1. The 14-day campaign period ends at midnight on July 31.
Deo’s appearance in Seremban Jaya comes as PH seeks to defend its position in the 36-seat state assembly against a challenge from the Barisan Nasional-Perikatan Nasional pact. The minister also expressed support for the coalition’s local candidate in the area.
Photos shared by Deo from the event showed him addressing supporters and interacting with the crowd at the ceramah.
