Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil has encouraged Malaysians to use the NADI Member App to make the most of the country’s network of National Information Dissemination Centres (Pusat Sebaran Maklumat Nasional, NADI).
In a video post shared on X on the afternoon of Thursday, October 29, 2026, Fahmi asked “NADI kat mana?”, or “Where is NADI?”, before listing what the app can do. “Cari NADI terdekat, daftar kelas, tempah komputer, semak program, saringan kesihatan dan kumpul mata ganjaran, semua guna NADI Member App,” he wrote.
This translates as “Find the nearest NADI, register for classes, book a computer, check programmes and health screenings, and collect reward points, all using the NADI Member App.” He added that those who are not yet members can register directly in the app.
Self-registration and rewards
According to information published by NADI centres, the app lets users register as NADI members, find the nearest centre, book a computer, explore and sign up for NADI programmes and training, check their health-screening records, and collect reward points that can be redeemed for gifts. A notice posted on October 20 by NADI Seri Serdang described the app as having a new look and more rewards, saying that the more activities members join, the more points they can collect.
The self-registration feature, which lets new users sign up as NADI members through the app without visiting a centre first, was introduced earlier this year, according to an announcement from NADI Taman Murai Jaya in Melaka. The app is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, and its App Store listing shows several updates in August and October that added programme discovery, event registration by QR code, a points balance and a rewards catalogue. The listing names Nuvia Alliance Sdn Bhd as the developer.
A network of 1,099 centres
NADI is a flagship initiative of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) under its Universal Service Provision (USP) programme, aimed at providing fair digital access, empowering communities through structured programmes and disseminating accurate information, according to the official NADI website.
The network reached 1,099 centres nationwide on October 8, 2026, when Fahmi opened NADI Inanam Sentral in Sabah, bringing that state’s total to 132, The Star and the Daily Express reported. Fahmi said at the time that it was probably the last centre to be completed under the Prime Minister’s directive to have a NADI in every state constituency, and that MCMC would review some centres at the end of the year, as some premises were old and a few may need to be relocated to benefit more people.
Under the one state constituency, one NADI initiative, the centres serve as community digital hubs offering access to digital facilities, skills training and opportunities in the digital economy. NADI replaced the earlier Digital Economy Centres (PEDi), with the change taking effect on March 1, 2024, the Daily Express reported.
