KUALA LUMPUR, May 22, 2026 — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil today officiated the official handover of the SST Project for the new Dewan Seri Gemilang at SMK Seri Pantai in his Lembah Pantai parliamentary constituency.
The project, a collaborative effort between the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) under the Prime Minister’s Department and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), aims to strengthen educational infrastructure and enhance community wellbeing in the area.
Fahmi, who is also the Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai, presented the symbolic plaque during the ceremony attended by school administrators, teachers, students, and local officials.
In his address, the minister highlighted the importance of providing quality facilities to support student development and learning activities. The upgraded multi-purpose hall is expected to serve as a key venue for school events, assemblies, and community programmes.
SMK Seri Pantai has been a focal point for development initiatives under Fahmi’s tenure, with previous efforts including improvements to internet connectivity and donations of laptops and projectors to support digital learning.
This latest upgrade reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to improving education facilities in urban constituencies like Lembah Pantai.
