KUALA LUMPUR, 14 August 2026 — Communications Minister and Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil today distributed Malaysian flags (Jalur Gemilang) to residents at the Taman Seri Sentosa night market as part of National Month (Bulan Kebangsaan) activities.
Together with officers from the Jabatan Penerangan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and Komuniti MADANI Lembah Pantai, Fahmi spent time engaging with the local community, handing out flags and encouraging people to display them at their homes and business premises.
“Ayuh kita sama-sama kibarkan Jalur Gemilang di rumah dan premis masing-masing. Biar semangat cintakan negara terus subur dan menyatukan kita menjelang Hari Kebangsaan dan Hari Malaysia,” Fahmi said in a post shared on his official X account.
The minister also joined congregants at Masjid At-Tirmizi for Maghrib prayers, followed by the recitation of Yasin and a prayer for safety (doa selamat).
In a video accompanying his post, Fahmi is seen interacting warmly with residents of all ages, particularly children, while walking through the bustling night market lined with yellow tents. Photos show community members waving the national flag together and Fahmi posing with a large Jalur Gemilang.
Fahmi expressed hope that Lembah Pantai and the nation would continue to be blessed with peace, harmony and prosperity under the Malaysia MADANI agenda.
The flag distribution forms part of nationwide efforts to foster patriotism ahead of Hari Kebangsaan on 31 August and Hari Malaysia on 16 September.
