PUTRAJAYA, Oct 9 2026 — The Ministry of Digital will strengthen digital literacy and artificial intelligence skills through a whole-of-nation approach, Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo told the Dewan Rakyat.
The approach centres on three pillars: expanding digital access, raising awareness, and promoting safe and responsible technology adoption across the public sector, youth and communities, including rural areas.
Replying to Bakri MP Tan Hong Ping on plans to produce high-skilled digital talent, Gobind said the ministry is developing the National Digital Talent Framework to align talent development with industry needs.
The framework rests on four strategies: attract, nurture, retain and deploy. Ongoing efforts under MyMAHIR National AI Council for Industry (MyMAHIR-NAICI) and Portal Rakyat Digital will continue, aimed at producing competitive digital leaders.
