SEPANG Oct 4, 2026 — Formula 1 Race Control said the Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit will start from the original grid after the wet-weather interruption to the starting procedure.
In an update on its official account, the championship wrote: “UPDATE FROM RACE CONTROL” and confirmed that “the start order will be the original grid.”
The clarification followed an earlier Race Control notice that suspended the start and sent drivers back to the pits as rain continued to affect the Malaysian circuit hosting the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
Formula 1 posted the notice under the #F1 and #BahrainGP tags. No further timing details were included in the post.
