SEREMBAN July 30, 2026 – Digital Minister and DAP national chairman Gobind Singh Deo on Thursday night introduced S. Veerapan as Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for the N.36 Repah state seat during a ceramah in Negeri Sembilan.
Speaking at the HARAPAN Repah rally, Gobind described Veerapan as a familiar figure in the state’s political landscape who has consistently worked on initiatives benefiting the people of Negeri Sembilan.
“Tonight at the HARAPAN Repah Rally, we are introducing our N.36 candidate, Mr. S. Veerapan, who is already well known in Negeri Sembilan’s political landscape and has consistently demonstrated his commitment to championing initiatives that benefit the people of the state,” Gobind said in a statement posted on X.
He urged those present to elect leaders who truly serve the people rather than those chasing titles for personal gain in the upcoming state election.
“We must focus on forming a government that is sincere in its service and always prioritises the interests of the state and all its citizens,” he added.
Gobind also called on voters to reject those involved in corruption, abuse of power and policies that only benefit their cronies.
“Let us close the door on those who thrive on corruption, abuse of power, and policies that benefit only their own cronies. Vote Pakatan Harapan!” he said.

Veerapan, the incumbent DAP assemblyman for Repah, is defending the seat in the Negeri Sembilan state election scheduled for 1 August 2026.
