PORT DICKSON July 30, 2026 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim last night attended a zikir and munajat program in Linggi, Negeri Sembilan, alongside state Menteri Besar and Pakatan Harapan candidate Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, underscoring the Madani government’s efforts to uphold Islamic values and elevate the status of Malays without infringing on the rights of other communities.
In a statement shared on his official X account, Anwar said he used the occasion to explain the work of the federal Madani administration and the Negeri Sembilan state government under Aminuddin in strengthening the syiar of Islam and raising the dignity of the Malay community.
“Memperjuangkan Islam dan membela orang Melayu tidak seharusnya diukur melalui jeritan yang paling lantang atau janji yang paling manis, tetapi melalui pelaksanaan kata-kata dan bukti yang nyata,” Anwar stated. He described this as the core principle of Pakatan Harapan while in power.
The Prime Minister listed specific measures taken by the government, including restoring Malay institutions damaged by those who betrayed public trust, expanding Malay reserve land in the heart of the capital, reinstating funding for people’s religious schools that had been suspended since 2003, enhancing skills training for religious school graduates, and upgrading pondok schools across the country.
Anwar affirmed that Pakatan Harapan would continue providing clean and trustworthy leadership to elevate the dignity of Islam, empower Malays, and ensure the well-being and fair prosperity of all Malaysians regardless of race or religion. He closed with the hashtags #KekalHARAPAN and #UndiHARAPAN.
The event, held at Dewan Orang Ramai Linggi, forms part of the ongoing campaign for the Negeri Sembilan state election. Aminuddin, who is contesting the Linggi seat after shifting from his long-held Sikamat constituency, joined the Prime Minister for the religious program.
