JAKARTA May 4, 2026 – Warner Bros. Pictures Indonesia has kicked off the countdown to Mortal Kombat II with an action-packed fan event titled “Get Over Here!” held in the capital on Sunday.
The event transformed a Jakarta venue into a full Mortal Kombat arena, complete with a towering stage featuring the film’s iconic dragon logo, traditional Javanese roof accents, and massive backdrops of franchise favorites Liu Kang and Kung Lao. Attendees and hosts struck signature fighting poses in front of fiery character posters emblazoned with the local release date: “Di Bioskop 6 Mei” (“In Theaters May 6”).
Warner Bros. Indonesia’s official X account (@WarnerBrosID) shared exclusive photos from the gathering, urging fans with the classic Mortal Kombat battle cry: “Get Over Here!”
The fan event serves as the final hype push before Mortal Kombat II hits Indonesian screens this Friday, May 6, 2026 — two days ahead of its wide U.S. release on May 8. The sequel to the 2021 reboot promises bigger fights, returning cast members, and fresh tournament action filmed for IMAX.
Tickets for the film are already on sale at major Indonesian cinema chains. Fans who missed the Jakarta event can still catch the movie in theaters starting this weekend and experience the next chapter of the Mortal Kombat saga on the big screen.
