KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA 8 April 2026 – Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) through its Enforcement Department has intensified operations to crack down on illegal parking attendants, commonly known as ‘parking predators’ or ‘ulat parkir’.
In Operation Special Action Jaga Series 3 Year 2026, DBKL successfully arrested five individuals around Jalan Ampang, Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Chan Sow Lin, and Medan Imbi, Bukit Bintang on Thursday, 2 April 2026.
Out of the five arrested, two were Malaysian citizens while the other three were foreigners — one Bangladeshi national and two Indian nationals.
All five individuals were brought to court on Friday, 3 April 2026. Each was fined *RM1,500 for the offence of directing or attending to vehicles without lawful authority, under Section 50(3) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
DBKL stated that it will continue to carry out monitoring and enforcement actions from time to time at identified hotspot locations.
