KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA 10, 2026 – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced a series of transfers involving six senior officers, aimed at strengthening key departments within the force. The changes, detailed in a media release issued today at 1:00 PM, will take effect on February 9, 2026.
The transfers involve swaps in critical roles across narcotics enforcement, wildlife crime, crime prevention, commercial crime investigation, and human resources management. According to the statement signed by DCP Abdul Rahman bin Kassim, Secretary of Police Malaysia, the moves are part of ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and expertise in specialized units at Bukit Aman headquarters and district levels.
Key transfers include:
- SAC Datuk Mohd Zaki bin Ashar will move from his position as Deputy Director of Narcotics (Enforcement/Prevention/General Policing) in the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department at Bukit Aman to Commander of the Wildlife Crime Bureau/Intelligence and Special Investigation Division under the General Operations Force in the Internal Security and Public Order Department at Bukit Aman.
- SAC Zairulnizam bin Mohd Zainuddin @ Hilmi will swap roles with SAC Datuk Mohd Zaki, taking over as Deputy Director of Narcotics (Enforcement/Prevention/General Policing) in the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department.
- ACP Ahmad Sukarno bin Mohd Zahari is transferring from District Police Chief of Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, to ACP Secretary in the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department at Bukit Aman.
- ACP Basri bin Sagoni will assume the role of District Police Chief of Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, swapping with ACP Ahmad Sukarno from his current position as ACP Secretary in the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department.
- ACP Rahiman bin Abdullah @ Yacob will shift from Assistant Director (Commercial Crime Investigation – Forgery/Smuggling/Property) in the Commercial Crime Investigation Department at Bukit Aman to Assistant Director (Administration) in the Human Resources Policy Division of the Management Department at Bukit Aman.
- ACP Gurbinder Singh Mann a/l Jagir Singh will take over ACP Rahiman’s former role, moving from Assistant Director (Administration) in the Human Resources Policy Division to Assistant Director (Commercial Crime Investigation – Forgery/Smuggling/Property) in the Commercial Crime Investigation Department.
