CHERAS, April 27, 2026 — Yayasan TZA, under the leadership of Senior Political Advisor Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Zafrul Aziz, today distributed food aid baskets to 350 residents at Dewan MPAJ Cheras Baru as part of the ongoing Program Bakul Rahmah initiative.
The programme was a joint effort between Yayasan TZA and the office of Teratai State Assemblyman YB Yew Jia Haur, with full support from local MPAJ authorities and several nearby non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Each basket contained essential household items — rice, cooking oil, flour, and milk — intended to help ease the daily cost-of-living burden for recipients and their families.
In a statement shared on X, Tengku Zafrul said the simple contents of the baskets carry significant meaning for many households.
“Baskets like these may look ordinary — rice, cooking oil, flour, milk — but for many residents, they help fulfil basic needs for the weeks ahead,” he wrote. “Insya-Allah, we will continue such efforts. What matters most is that we take care of one another.”
He also extended his appreciation to YB Yew Jia Haur and all volunteers and partners who helped make the distribution a success.
The initiative forms part of Yayasan TZA’s wider community outreach programmes aimed at providing direct relief and fostering mutual support among the rakyat, particularly amid rising living expenses.
