NEW YORK, October 2, 2026 — Tony Gilroy brought his new film “Behemoth!” to its worldwide premiere at the New York Film Festival, telling the audience the project was never an easy sell.
“This is a hard movie to green light, and a hard movie to sell. And here we are,” Gilroy said as he introduced the film, in remarks shared by Variety from the #NYFF red carpet and stage.
In a lighter moment captured on the same night, Gilroy momentarily forgot to introduce co-stars Hank Azaria and Will Arnett during the premiere presentation — a flub Variety also posted from the festival floor.
The premiere marks a high-profile festival launch for Gilroy following his acclaimed work on “Andor,” putting “Behemoth!” in front of industry and awards-circuit audiences as the fall season intensifies.
