LONDON, October 2, 2026 — Richard E. Grant says accidentally revealing he was a Traitor during the “Celebrity Traitors” premiere was the “biggest mistake I’ve made in my life.”
Variety reported that after realizing the slip on camera, Grant told the production: “That may have been the biggest mistake I’ve made in my life. I was so thrilled to be chosen that in my excitement I said I was a Traitor. I need to defuse all of the heat coming in my direction.”
The British star’s on-air confession immediately put a target on him among fellow contestants and viewers, turning a carefully guarded game identity into opening-night drama.
The series, a celebrity edition of the hit deception format, thrives on secrecy — making Grant’s early reveal an unusually costly unforced error.
