KUALA LUMPUR, May 12, 2026 — Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim today received a courtesy visit from Deputy Minister of Human Resources Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan and Sabah Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Datuk Jamawi Jaafar.
During the meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office, the leaders held in-depth discussions on various matters related to development and the welfare of the people of Sabah.
The talks also focused on initiatives to raise living standards, especially for rural communities, including measures to strengthen economic opportunities and overall well-being.
Anwar reaffirmed the MADANI Government’s commitment to prioritising Sabah’s needs, emphasising that federal policies and assistance must go beyond announcements and must genuinely reach and benefit the people on the ground.
“Kerajaan MADANI akan terus memberi tumpuan terhadap keperluan Sabah agar setiap dasar dan bantuan bukan sekadar diumumkan, tetapi benar-benar sampai dan dirasai rakyat di lapangan, Insya-Allah,” he said.
The engagement underscores the federal government’s continued focus on equitable development and support for East Malaysia.
