PUTRAJAYA June 5, 2026 – Malaysia’s MyGOV App has crossed the 2.2 million user mark, the Ministry of Digital announced today, marking a significant milestone in the country’s digital government transformation. In a major surprise announcement, the app will also offer live streaming of FIFA World Cup 2026 matches directly on users’ mobile devices.
Launched in August 2025, the MyGOV App has rapidly grown into a one-stop platform, integrating 51 government services from 19 different agencies. It has progressively incorporated key systems including MySejahtera, MyJPJ, PriceCatcher, Portal Manfaat, and Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR), making it easier for Malaysians to access essential services in a single app.
The latest feature — on-the-go live streaming of FIFA World Cup 2026 matches — is available to users registered with MyDigital ID. They can now watch the games alongside traditional streaming platforms, bringing a major sporting event directly into the government digital ecosystem.
Minister of Digital Gobind Singh Deo said the app reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to better digital services.
“The MyGOV App reflects the MADANI Government’s continued efforts to improve how Malaysians access digital services. As usage continues to grow, the platform is being progressively enhanced to support scalability, performance, and user experience improvements,” he said.
Datuk Fabian Bigar, Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital, emphasised the app’s role in Malaysia’s bigger ambitions.
“A connected government is a prerequisite for an AI-driven future. By unifying fragmented agency platforms under the MyGOV ecosystem, we are building the clean, interoperable data foundations necessary to deploy scalable Artificial Intelligence,” he stated. “Our ultimate blueprint is to transition from reactive public services to predictive, highly personalised citizen experiences, firmly securing Malaysia’s trajectory toward becoming a leading AI Nation by 2030.”
The development of MyGOV App is led by GovTech Malaysia under the Ministry of Digital and aligns with the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MDEB). It aims to break down bureaucratic silos through better data interoperability and unified public infrastructure.
Members of the public are encouraged to download and use the MyGOV App as more services are added in phases. For more information, visit https://www.MyGOV.gov.my/ms-MY.
The Ministry described the latest updates as part of a long-term plan to create a more seamless, citizen-centric digital experience for all Malaysians.
