MALAYSIA, KUALA LUMPUR, June 13, 2025 – The 90th Annual General Meeting of Koperasi Polis Diraja Malaysia Berhad was officiated this morning by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, marking a significant milestone for the cooperative. Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his unwavering support and confidence in the cooperative’s contributions.

During the event, the Prime Minister presented takaful compensation to the families of Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) members involved in a recent tragic accident, underscoring the government’s commitment to supporting police personnel.
The cooperative announced a robust dividend distribution derived from operational profits, reflecting its prudent and efficient governance. “This achievement, driven by actual operational gains rather than assets or capital, is a testament to the cooperative’s strong track record, which I am confident will continue to benefit its members,” Saifuddin said.
In line with the Prime Minister’s address, the Home Ministry (KDN) pledged to provide opportunities for Koperasi PDRM to undertake development projects under its purview, provided they meet stringent governance, competency, and cost standards.
Priority will be given to approved but unawarded physical projects, including new police headquarters (IPK) in Kelantan, Perak, and Penang, as well as several new district police headquarters (IPD).
Saifuddin emphasized that these opportunities are not shortcuts but a chance for the cooperative to demonstrate its capabilities.
“KDN is committed to supporting institutions vital to the Royal Malaysia Police workforce. I urge the cooperative’s management to prepare its structure and team to seize these opportunities with responsibility and integrity,” he said.
With over 100,000 members placing their trust in the cooperative, Saifuddin called for collective effort to pave the way for success.
“We provide the path, and they will create the achievements,” he concluded.
