LOS ANGELES, November 3, 2026 — Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are teaming up again. Netflix has announced Dogfight, a new feature film that will be the pair’s seventh collaboration, with Ritchie writing and directing and production due to begin in early 2027, the streamer shared on X.
Netflix describes the film as a “stylish revenge actioner set in the London criminal underworld”. Beyond that line, the plot is being kept under wraps. Filming will take place in the United Kingdom, according to the streamer’s own Tudum site and reports in Deadline, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
As with most of their earlier work together, Ritchie will write, direct and produce, while Statham will star and also serve as a producer. They are joined as producers by Ivan Atkinson, Ritchie’s partner at Toff Guy Films, and John Friedberg of Black Bear. The production companies are Black Bear, Toff Guy Films and Statham’s Punch Palace.
A partnership that began in London’s underworld
Dogfight takes the duo back to the setting where their partnership started. Ritchie gave Statham his first film role in his 1998 directorial debut, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, a London crime caper that made both of their names. They followed it with Snatch in 2000 and Revolver in 2005.
After a long gap, the two reunited for the heist thriller Wrath of Man in 2021 and the spy comedy Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre in 2023. Their sixth film together, Viva La Madness, is still to come and is not a Netflix project, which makes Dogfight the pair’s first film made for the streamer.
Netflix viewers already know the partnership well. According to the entertainment news site What’s on Netflix, Wrath of Man drew 8.3 million views during its two weeks in the streamer’s global top 10 after it arrived on the service in December 2025.
Ritchie’s growing Netflix ties
The new film also deepens Ritchie’s relationship with Netflix, which is home to his crime series The Gentlemen, based on his 2019 film of the same name. The second season of the show arrived on September 3, 2026, and a third season is already in production.
No release date has been announced for Dogfight, and no other cast members have been named. With cameras not due to roll until early 2027, the film is unlikely to reach screens before late 2027 at the earliest.
For fans of the duo’s fast-talking gangsters and sharp action, the announcement is a welcome return to familiar ground: a Guy Ritchie film, set in London’s criminal world, with Jason Statham at its centre.
