TEHRAN Aug 1, 2026 – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a stern warning to the United States against pursuing any military “adventures” or “adventurous action” against Iran, stressing that Tehran is prepared to respond decisively to any aggression.
According to Araghchi’s account on Telegram, the remarks were delivered Saturday in separate phone conversations with Turkey’s foreign minister and Pakistan’s army chief.
The statement, widely reported by regional media and amplified by accounts such as BRICS News, comes as the United States and Iran remain locked in a volatile cycle of threats, strikes, and fragile diplomatic efforts following months of conflict that began earlier in 2026.
Iran’s military leadership separately accused Washington of “escalating tensions” in the Middle East and cautioned regional countries against cooperating with or hosting U.S. forces, saying any such support could draw them into the conflict.
The warning follows reports of possible new U.S. military planning and ongoing disputes over maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, naval movements, and the implementation of earlier ceasefire understandings.
Araghchi’s message underscores Tehran’s position that it will not tolerate further military pressure and is ready to defend itself vigorously if attacked.
