KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 (Bernama) — IMAGO Technologies today unveiled PaperSmart, a dual-mode tablet integrated with EdPrep.ai personalised learning software to support classroom learning, independent study and digital assessment.
Designed for students and educators, the device combines digital learning tools, handwritten note-taking, classroom collaboration and device management in a single platform.
At the centre of the PaperSmart experience is EdPrep.ai, an artificial intelligence-powered learning platform designed to help students understand concepts, identify mistakes and prepare for examinations through personalised guidance.
The platform functions as a digital tutor, providing explanations, practice questions and step-by-step guidance based on individual learning needs.
Its Smart Learning Memory feature analyses a student’s study history, practice results, feedback and milestones to provide continuity between study sessions and identify areas requiring further attention.
EdPrep.ai supports preparation for examinations including SPM, STPM, MUET, IGCSE, A-Levels, IELTS, TOEFL and SAT, with exercises covering multiple-choice questions, calculations, essays and spoken responses.
IMAGO Technologies Chief Revenue Officer Rob Hughes said the combination of adaptive AI software and purpose-built hardware represents a new approach to technology-assisted education.
“We are proud to bring PaperSmart and EdPrep.ai to market. This isn’t just a device launch. It is a major contribution to how technology serves education,” he said.
PaperSmart also features two viewing modes, allowing users to switch between Standard Mode for colour and interactive content and Paper Mode for reading and handwritten notes.
Users can switch modes without losing their open applications, textbook pages, annotations or handwritten notes.
The tablet’s IMAGO Collab workspace combines an interactive whiteboard with a digital notebook, allowing teachers and students to annotate learning materials and collaborate in real time.
It also integrates with Google Workspace and includes teaching templates to support classroom activities.
Another feature, Meeting Mind, provides offline audio recording, transcription and summary tools for lectures, briefings and group discussions, helping users convert discussions into study notes, key points and action items.
For educational institutions, PaperSmart provides mobile device management tools for IT teams to enrol devices and remotely manage policies.
Its Proctor Mode also restricts access to selected applications and device functions during digital examinations to support controlled assessment environments.
IMAGO Technologies is now accepting registrations from educational institutions and organisations interested in PaperSmart deployments, with introductory offers, volume pricing and bundled packages available under its launch programme.
