Formula 1 has dropped a playful promotional clip questioning whether Williams driver Alex Albon is the biggest diva on the Formula 1 grid, as Series 2 Episode 3 of the popular YouTube series Passenger Princess goes live.
In the short video shared by the official @F1 account on Wednesday, host Amelia Dimoldenberg (of Chicken Shop Date fame) sits in the passenger seat while Albon drives. The pair banter about Albon’s reputation, with Dimoldenberg noting that people call him a down-to-earth driver before probing the “true” him. Albon cheerfully embraces the label, declaring himself “sassy,” asking if he gives off that vibe, and joking about being “sassy on the radio.” Dimoldenberg responds that she “quite love[s] a diva.”
The official F1 post leans fully into the moment: “Is @alex_albon the biggest diva in formula 1? 👑 Watch Series 2 Episode 3 of Passenger Princess, now live on @ameliadimz’s YouTube channel 📺 #F1.”
Passenger Princess, created by Dimoldenberg’s Dimz Inc. in partnership with Formula 1, follows the comedian as she takes driving lessons from F1 stars while conducting her signature deadpan interviews. Season 1 racked up more than 289 million views. Season 2, filmed during the Spanish and Austrian Grand Prix weekends, features six drivers: Charles Leclerc, Franco Colapinto, Valtteri Bottas, Gabriel Bortoleto, Kimi Antonelli, and Albon. Episodes are released weekly on Dimoldenberg’s YouTube channel.
This week’s installment focuses on car controls with Albon as the instructor. Earlier promos from both F1 and Dimoldenberg built anticipation for the Williams driver’s appearance, with Dimoldenberg posting that her “driving instructor is @alex_albon this week.”
The full episode is available now on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s YouTube channel. Fans can watch the light-hearted exchange and decide for themselves whether Albon deserves the crown.
