PUTRAJAYA April 22, 2026 – Malaysians in Peninsular Malaysia will enjoy further relief at the pumps as diesel prices drop by 85 sen per litre to RM5.12 for the period 23–29 April 2026.
Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming announced the reduction today, describing it as the second consecutive weekly cut following a 75 sen decrease last week.
“Payung Madani continues to actively protect the rakyat,” Nga said in a statement on X. “RON95 remains one of the cheapest in the world at RM1.99 per litre. Let’s unite!”
The latest adjustment was made under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) and is reflected in the official weekly retail fuel price schedule released by OH!MEDIA.
Full retail prices for 23–29 April 2026:
- RON95 (Subsidised Budi95): RM1.99 per litre (unchanged)
- RON95 (Unsubsidised): RM3.87 per litre (down 15 sen)
- RON97: RM4.85 per litre (down 25 sen)
- Diesel (Peninsular Malaysia): RM5.12 per litre (down 85 sen)
- Diesel (Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan): RM2.15 per litre (unchanged)
The government has maintained the subsidised RON95 price at RM1.99 since the introduction of the targeted diesel subsidy mechanism, shielding consumers from global oil volatility.
The announcement comes as part of broader Madani government efforts to cushion the impact of fluctuating international fuel prices on households and businesses.
