YY Group Signs Strategic MOU with Keenon Robotics

Singapore , Aug. 28, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — YY Group Holding Limited (NASDAQ: YYGH) (“YY Group,” “YYGH,” or the “Company”), a global leader in on-demand workforce solutions and integrated facility management (IFM), today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KEENON (Hong Kong) Limited (“Keenon”), a globally renowned leading provider of service robotics.

This MOU builds on YY Group’s recently launched robotics integration initiative, aimed at enhancing service consistency, safety, and operational efficiency across high-impact service lines.

Strategic Robotics Expansion

YY Group’s robotics integration initiative is designed to transform service delivery in high-impact sectors such as hospitality, healthcare, and facilities management. The rollout includes robotic dish-servers and cleaners. Deployment of these technologies has already commenced in Singapore and Malaysia, supported by YY Group’s dedicated in-house technicians.

Building on this foundation, the new MOU with Keenon will pilot advanced indoor service robots specifically tailored for the regions’ commercial environments. The initial focus will be in Singapore and Malaysia, where Keenon will provide AI-enabled robotics designed to enhance efficiency and address manpower challenges. YY Group will oversee integration and deployment through its established client network, ensuring the solutions are effectively adapted to local market needs.

Enhanced Value Proposition Through Human-Centric Robotics

A core principle of this collaboration is the emphasis on human-robot synergy. Rather than replacing employees, Keenon’s robots will complement YY Group’s human teams by taking on repetitive and time-sensitive tasks such as service logistics and cleaning. This approach allows human staff to concentrate on higher-value responsibilities, improving both efficiency and service quality.

YY Group’s deployment model ensures that robots are seamlessly integrated into client operations and can scale with evolving demands. Clients will benefit from multiple deployment options, including both on-demand and capital ownership models, while YY’s in-house technicians will provide the technical expertise required for reliable, long-term use.

Strategic Imperatives & Future Outlook

As noted by CEO Mike Fu in YY Group Holding Limited, “Our collaboration with Keenon Robotics marks an important milestone in advancing our robotics integration strategy. By combining Keenon’s proven technology with YY Group’s market reach and service expertise, we are positioned to accelerate the adoption of intelligent service robots across Southeast Asia. This initiative reflects our commitment to delivering innovative, technology-enabled solutions that enhance efficiency for clients while creating scalable, sustainable growth opportunities for the Company.”

Pilot deployments are already underway with select clients in the region. These early rollouts extend YY Group’s existing robotics program while laying the groundwork for broader scaling across Southeast Asia and beyond.

The integration of Keenon’s robotics solutions is also expected to drive meaningful business impact for YY Group. By improving asset efficiency, elevating service outcomes, and supporting new recurring revenue streams, this initiative aligns directly with the Company’s longer-term strategy of strengthening client retention and advancing operational excellence.

“Double the Sweetness” – A New Chapter for Guangxi’s Sugar Industry

NANNING, China, Aug. 28, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Located in southern China, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with abundant sunshine and rainfall, is a natural “kingdom of sugarcane”. During the 2024/2025 crushing season, the planting area of sugarcane in the region reached 11.35 million mu (approximately 756,667 hectares), an increase of 110,000 mu year-on-year. The output of sugar exceeded 6.4 million tons, and the region has maintained a 60% share of China’s total sugar output for 20 consecutive crushing seasons, truly living up to its reputation as the “National Sugar Barn”.

Guangxi Sugarcane Planting Base

A Media Snippet accompanying this announcement is available by clicking on this link.

Guangxi Sungain Sugar Industry Group Co., Ltd., as a leading enterprise, achieved a significant increase in its daily sugarcane processing capacity during the 2024/2025 crushing season. Relying on the “Eucalyptus Out, Sugarcane In” strategy and full-process mechanized planting, the group is accelerating the implementation of the “Second Entrepreneurship and Second Development” strategy to build a new benchmark for green, efficient, and clustered diversified industrialization. It fully drives the sustainable economic and social development of the local area and injects impetus into further consolidating Guangxi’s leading strategic position in China’s sugar industry.

In recent years, Guangxi’s sugar industry has continuously undergone transformation and upgrading, blazing a high-quality development path featuring “technology + scale + green development”. It has moved from traditional sugar refining to intelligent processing, and from “sweetness for one season” to “sweetness throughout the year”. The industrial chain has been constantly extended, with new formats such as bagasse power generation and deep processing of sugarcane by-products rising rapidly. Today, Guangxi’s sugar industry not only ensures supply and stabilizes the market but also expands exports and strengthens the industry, becoming a powerful driver for rural revitalization and an important pillar of the regional economy.

Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone: Building the Future of Business Through Visionary Integration

UAQ FTZ

UAQ FTZ
UAQ FTZ

New York City, NY, Aug. 28, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — In today’s fast-evolving global economy, the success of free zones is no longer defined solely by ease of incorporation or tax advantages. The new benchmarks are interconnectivity, adaptability, and strategic foresight—qualities that Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone (UAQ FTZ) is not just adopting but actively shaping.

At a time when global investors are seeking certainty, flexibility, and a deeper value proposition from their choice of business jurisdiction, UAQ FTZ stands out as a case study in progressive economic planning. From regulatory innovation to ecosystem development, its approach speaks to a new generation of enterprise leadership—one that prizes resilience, cross-sector collaboration, and holistic growth.

Strategic Integration as a Growth Multiplier

The recent signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Dubai Land Department (DLD) marks a significant turning point—not just for UAQ FTZ but for the free zone landscape in the UAE at large. For the first time, UAQ FTZ-licensed companies can acquire and register freehold real estate in Dubai under their business name, opening up new dimensions of capital investment, operational flexibility, and asset diversification.

This partnership exemplifies what thoughtful economic policy can achieve: breaking down silos between emirates to create a truly integrated national economy. It sends a strong message that regulatory agility and inter-emirate cooperation are not just possible, but imperative to unlocking the UAE’s next chapter of industrial growth.

From Infrastructure to Insight

Over the last few years, UAQ FTZ has quietly but effectively accelerated its growth strategy—moving from a logistics and industrial zone to a multifaceted economic platform. Today, it supports a wide spectrum of industries including advanced manufacturing, education, health, food and beverage, and digital technology.

Yet, what truly sets it apart is not infrastructure alone, but its ability to pre-empt the needs of investors and build enabling mechanisms that go beyond physical space. Fully digitised services, fast-track licensing, and proactive investor support are matched with a human-centric development philosophy—a rare trait in the traditionally transactional world of free zones.

The launch of SOUL, UAQ FTZ’s incubator for tech startups and innovation-led ventures, reflects this future-ready mindset. More than a workspace, SOUL offers a structured environment where entrepreneurs can access mentorship, funding networks, and business development resources—bridging the gap between inspiration and execution.

The Emerging Model: Liveable Economic Zones

Another area where UAQ FTZ is challenging convention is urban-industrial planning. The zone is in the planning stages of a walk-to-work smart community—a pioneering concept in the region. This vision integrates residential, commercial, educational, and healthcare components into a single, accessible environment. The aim: to create a 360-degree lifestyle experience that supports both business performance and quality of life.

This community-first approach speaks volumes about UAQ FTZ’s understanding of what today’s global workforce demands. Talent, particularly in high-skill sectors, increasingly gravitates towards destinations that offer meaningful life infrastructure, not just job opportunities. By developing a full-service ecosystem—complete with universities, vocational institutes, healthcare facilities, and recreational spaces—UAQ FTZ is not just supporting enterprise, but society at large.

Sustained Visibility, Sector-Specific Growth

UAQ FTZ’s strategic messaging has also been consistent, positioning it as the UAE’s most accessible free zone for industrial and commercial innovation. Through consistent digital campaigns, global roadshows, and sectoral outreach programs, it has maintained high visibility among both first-time entrepreneurs and established regional players.

But its greatest brand asset remains its credibility as a responsive and reform-oriented free zone authority—a partner that listens, iterates, and delivers. In an environment where agility is a competitive advantage, UAQ FTZ is proving that small emirates can think—and act—on a big scale.

Rethinking the Role of Free Zones

As global trade routes shift and new growth corridors emerge across South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, the role of free zones is being redefined. They must now function as innovation corridors, cross-border gateways, and community builders

UAQ FTZ is ahead of this curve. Its strategy is not about racing to scale, but about building an enduring value proposition—one that combines operational ease with visionary planning. It is a model that recognises that the most competitive ecosystems are those that enable prosperity, not just profit

In a world recalibrating its definitions of success, UAQ FTZ is offering something that is increasingly rare: a future-forward economic zone that remains deeply grounded in its mission—to make business better, smarter, and more human.

KFSHRC’s 24/7 Emergency Virtual Clinic Serves Over 23,500 Patients in First Year

KFSHRC’s 24/7 Emergency Virtual Clinic Serves Over 23,500 Patients in First Year

A physician at KFSHRC provides real-time guidance through the 24/7 Emergency Department Virtual Clinic, supporting patients and their caregivers remotely.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Aug. 27, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) announced that its 24/7 Emergency Department (ED) Virtual Clinic has delivered more than 23,500 consultations in its first year, easing pressure on emergency rooms and ensuring faster access to specialist care across Saudi Arabia.

Launched at the beginning of 2024, the service addresses a critical challenge: nearly 70% of KFSHRC patients live outside Riyadh, Jeddah, and Madinah, where the hospital’s main centers are located. Many of them face complex conditions that local facilities cannot always manage in emergencies. By connecting directly with KFSHRC ED physicians, patients receive immediate guidance, reducing unnecessary travel and delays in care.

As one of the few institution-based models documented globally, the clinic manages stable cases virtually, while urgent symptoms such as chest pain or altered consciousness are directed to the nearest emergency department. When prescriptions are needed, they are mailed to patients’ homes, minimizing hospital visits and supporting continuity of care.

On average, around 2,000 patients benefit from the service each month. Without it, these cases would have added significantly to the daily load of KFSHRC’s emergency departments, limiting capacity to respond quickly to the most critical conditions. The program has since expanded into additional specialties, including adult hematology, heart care, and pharmacy consultations.

Patients with advanced illnesses now receive ongoing support and timely advice on medications and side effects. Engagement has exceeded expectations, underscoring the demand for specialist care delivered remotely with direct access to KFSHRC expertise.

KFSHRC noted that the initiative reflects its broader commitment to improving patient access, enhancing efficiency, and strengthening the national healthcare system by supporting local physicians with real-time specialist input.

It is noteworthy that KFSHRC has been ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa and 15th globally in the list of the world’s top 250 Academic Medical Centres for the second consecutive year and has been recognised as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, according to the 2025 Brand Finance rankings. Additionally, it was included in the World’s Best Smart Hospitals list for 2025 by Newsweek magazine.
