KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 5 August 2025 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail attended the closing ceremony of the National Anti-Drug Agency’s (AADK) i-DEEN Recovery Programme 2025 today, shortly after concluding his engagements in Parliament.

The i-DEEN programme, a psychospiritual initiative by AADK, combines the words ‘i’ (idola) and ‘DEEN’ (religion), symbolising a ‘religious idol’. This year, 223 clients from community-based (RPDK) and institutional (RPDI) treatment and rehabilitation programmes participated in the initial screening phase. Of these, 111 advanced to the final stage, which featured competitions in Quranic recitation, memorisation, and spiritual songs.
Saifuddin praised AADK’s integration of religious elements into its rehabilitation modules, calling it a strategic move. “High spiritual values build inner strength, contributing to a more holistic recovery process,” he said.
He highlighted AADK’s impressive recovery success rate, now nearing 80%, but stressed the need for continued efforts to sustain this achievement through robust policies, human resources, training, and funding.
As Home Minister, Saifuddin assured full support from the Home Ministry to strengthen AADK’s mission in combating drug addiction.
