July 25, 2025 — DAP Wanita has announced the Women in Politics Outstanding Media Award, celebrating impactful journalism that highlights the contributions and challenges of women in politics. The award, open for submissions from January 1 to December 31, 2025, aims to amplify female voices in political storytelling.
Award Categories and Prizes
The award spans four language categories: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, and Tamil. Submissions can include written articles, TV news, YouTube channels, podcasts, or social media content. Each category offers:
– Grand Prize : RM3,000 (1 winner)
– Excellence Award : RM1,000 (3 winners)
Submission Criteria
Entries must be published in 2025 and focus on women in politics, covering themes such as:
– Biographical stories of female politicians
– Overcoming gender barriers in politics
– Roles in shaping public policy
– Leadership in local councils or village committees
– Cross-sector influence in areas like environment, education, or welfare
Submission Process
Submissions should be sent to media-awards-wanita@dapmalaysia.org by January 15, 2026. Requirements include:
– Written Entries : PDF with a screenshot or link to the original publication
– Video/Audio Entries : YouTube, Google Drive, or Dropbox link
– Author’s full name, job title, media organization, and a 100-word description of the work
