PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia, 19 July 2025 – The Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) has reported technical issues with the autogate system affecting foreign visitors at several key entry points nationwide, including Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminals 1 and 2, the Immigration and Quarantine Complex (CIQ) at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI), and the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex (KSAB) in Johor.
The disruption, which began last night, stems from data integration problems between the autogate system and the MyIMMs system, rendering the autogates inoperable for foreign travelers. AKPS clarified that the autogate system for Malaysian passport holders remains functional as usual.
In response, AKPS is working to ensure the system is restored and operating efficiently. The agency is collaborating with relevant authorities to address the issue and has deployed additional officers at affected entry points to assist travelers.
